Sebestyén Péter: Haiku for an unpleasant Sunday (Haikuk egy kellemetlen vasárnapon in English)

Portre of Sebestyén Péter

Haikuk egy kellemetlen vasárnapon (Hungarian)

Bárkám zátonyra
futott. Verőfény; hűs víz;
hét nap haldoklás.

Robinson partra
evickél. A JÓ ANYÁD,
szépirodalom!

Világvégi csönd.
Sírj; kezdődjön el mégis
élet és halál.

A Felhők Könyve
megírhatatlan és nem
halogatható.

Haiku for an unpleasant Sunday (English)

My barque hit the reef.
The glaring sun; cool water;
a week of dying.

Robinson flounders
to the shore. WELL, BLOW ME DOWN,
here's literature!

End of earth silence
Do cry; in spite of it, let
life and death begin.

The book of clouds can
not be written and yet is
unpostponable.
