Pintér Tibor: Vizicsoda*

Portre of Pintér Tibor

Vizicsoda* (Hungarian)

Ott állsz az időben,
kútvíz csorog a fehér
lavórba.

Beleszórod mi tiéd.
Kibomlik minden:
házak, fák, hajók.
Virágzó életed.

Elámulsz és
szívütötten meredsz
az akaratlan-szétázó
mintázatokra.

*Vizicsoda néven árultak a 1960-as években egy gyerekjátékot Magyarországon, kis boltokban, trafikokban. Lényege: zsugorított anyagból készült morzsalékot kellett vízbe szórni ami megdagadva különféle kis színes alakzatokat vett fel. (fa, virág, ház, gőzhajó füstölő(!) kéménnyel stb.)

Water-miracle*** (English)

There you stand in time,
well-water trickles in the white
hand-basin.

You scatter in what’s yours.
Everything  unfolds:
houses, trees, ships.
Your blooming life.

You’re amazed, and
stare heart-stricken at
the will-less-drenched
patterns.

***A kind of toy called “Water-miracle” was sold in small shops, at tobacconist’s in Hungary in the 1960s. Shrunk crumbles of some material could be scattered in water, shortly afterwards - having swollen – they took on different shapes (like trees, flowers, houses, a steamer with smoking (!) chimney etc.)
