Demokracia (Slovak)
Čo slovom hlaholí,
to v sebe nenašla by.
No žongluje tým slovom obratne.
Slobodná obloha.
Ach, áno - pre jastraby.
To ostatné, čo má,
už nie je podstatné.
Aj tejto líštičke
vysoko visia hrozná.
Nič pre pravdu, nič pre báseň.
Vláda ľudu.
Je taká vôbec možná?

What it blares with the word,
in itself it lacks.
But the word-juggling’s elegant.
Free sky.
Ah, yes - for hawks.
What else it contains
is now not relevant.
For this fox too
the grapes hang high on the tree.
Sour truth, sour poetry seem.
Government of the people.
Could that be?
