Beney Zsuzsa: Glistens, is gone (Csillog, de eltűnik in English)

Portre of Beney Zsuzsa

Csillog, de eltűnik (Hungarian)

A már meg nem szólítható világban
bábszövedékben hallgatnak a tárgyak.

A tiszta térben
ül kijelölt helyén

mint didergő madár, vakon a lélek.
Nesztelen – a csönd jég-tükre beállt.
Nem töri át vadlúd-hang jajgatása.
Ki felkiált, nem hallja hogy kiált.

Glistens, is gone (English)

In a world that can no longer be addressed,
objects are still, are quietly cocooned,
Weightless they are, no room to move,
dense-deep the fog in which they are marooned.

A rippling wave no longer rushes in them,
no longer doubles matter's reach.
Eye does not see the way
the lake and darkness are sinking, each in each.

Water-glass frost is filling every cranny.
No wind-surge hits the border of the space:
no near or far. The soul sits, blindly in the clearing,
in its appointed place:

like a shivering bird. There is no noise;
ice-mirror silence had set in all about.
The plaintive cry of wild geese doesn’t break it.
The one, who’s shouting, cannot hear the shout.
