Kukorelly Endre: The Color Blue (Kék szín in English)

Portre of Kukorelly Endre

Kék szín (Hungarian)

Kék színű ördög. Az, aki
előlépett egy fácska mögül.
Egy fiatal fa takarja
el. Hason kúszott, fennen
röpült. Ott két fa volt egy
legenda szerint, két fa
kapu. A kert
összedűlt, de a kapu nem.
Marad még elég idő, még
épp elég maradt. Ha nem fordult
volna ki addig az a fa a
homokból. Az Úrnak bármikor.

The Color Blue (English)

A devil colored blue. The one who
Stepped out from behind a sapling.
He’s hidden by a young tree. He crawled
On his stomach, flew high overhead.
Actually he’s nothing like that at all. According
to legend there were two trees. The garden
collapsed, but the gates did not. Just enough
to reach the other. If only that tree had not been
uprooted from the sand. God has all the time.
