Biography

Born 10 November 1940 in Igram. He graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava. He worked as a teacher in a secondary commercial school in Poprad (1964–1970) and then returned to Bratislava to the literate monthly Slovenské pohľady (1970–1972). Until 2000 he worked as an editor and then as chief editor in the Slovenský spisovateľ publishing house. Strážay lives in Bratislava.
