Biography
poet, editor, and translatorBorn 2 August 1957 in Bratislava. She studied Slovak and Bulgarian at Comenius University in Bratislava. After spending one year as an extern producer at the Puppet Theatre in Nitra (1981 – 1982) she became aneditor at the Slovenský spisovateľ publishing house in Bratislava. From 1996 she has been a member of the jury in a literary contest for the best short story of the year. In 2000 she started to work in the Institute ofWorld Literature at the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. She also edits poetry and prose at the literary weekly Kultúrny život.
