Biography
prose writer, author of books for children and young people, science fiction writerHe was born 23 October 1933 in Žilina, the centre of north-western Slovakia. From 1952 to 1957 he studied Slovak and History at the Philosophical faculty in Comenius University in Bratislava. After completing his studies he worked for ten years as a publishers editor, then as a teacher at a secondary school. After a two year creative holiday from 1970 to 1972 he worked in different jobs in cultural and educational institutions until his retirement in 1988. He lives in Žilina.
