Weöres Sándor: Whisper in the dark (Suttogás a sötétben in English)

Portre of Weöres Sándor

a te szabadságod.

Lábadra írom: "Megmértem a sötétséget és lenyúlok annak mélyére;
semmi sem sűlyedhet odáig, hogy én ne legyek alatta."

Arannyá változtál, kedves gyermek. Vegyél magadért kenyeret a
vakoknak és kardot a látóknak.

On your trunk I write: “I am poured into everything and everything pours into me: I am not fastidious, but who is there who could defile me?”

On your feet I write: “I have measured the darkness and my

You have turned into gold, dear child. Change yourself into bread for the blind and swords for those who can see.
