Jelínek, Bohdan: Szenteste (Štědrý den in Hungarian)

Portre of Jelínek, Bohdan

Štědrý den (Czech)

Sníh mrazem tupý – navrch zmrzlá tráva
    sta zkřehlých osin vyhání
A ve výši se šedem promodrává
    šat pokání –

Z obruby zlaté pošmourného šatu
    zář svítí ledné do poušti.
Studené ruce země sepjala tu –
    Bůh odpouští!

Szenteste (Hungarian)

Fagydöngölt hó; – rajta fagyott növény ül,
       száz törékeny toklász vesz el,
a magasságnak szürke leple kékül
       úgy vezekel –

A gyászlepel arany szegélye fénye
       hull a jeges terekre lenn.
A föld hideg kezei összetéve –
       ó, Kegyelem!
